Can Breast Cancer Be Prevented?

A new clinical trial is looking into this possibility using a new classification of drug called an aromatase inhibitor.  This medication has already been used with women who have breast cancer and has been shown to be more effective and safer than other products currently being used.  The next step is to see if it can be used to prevent breast cancer in HIGH RISK WOMEN.

      Who can participate?

  • Menopausal women who are at high risk for breast cancer.

     Who is at high risk?

  • Women who have a mother or sister who has had breast cancer.

  • Any women over 60 years old.
